Recently, Mrs. Thomas and Ms. Barton visited the media center with their 3rd grade classes for lessons on reference sources. Our essential question was "How can I determine which reference source I should use to answer different questions?" As they prepare for more in-depth research projects, it's important for students to understand that each reference source has a specific purpose and not every reference source will provide them with the most complete information that they need.
